Scooby-Scooby-Doo, Where are You?

Everyone loves Harry Potter, don't they? Sure, the books are "supposed" to be for kids, but it's hard to deny how great they are. I'm currently on the 5th book, Harry Potter and the Order of the phoenix (btw thanks for letting me borrow it Kimmers!) You know what irks me though? People who think just because the Harry Potter series were written for kids means that adults aren't allowed to read them. I've had two separate cases where this has happened. The first time was a half year ago in a barber shop and involved a family of dwarves. Am I making this up? No. Not friendly dwarves like in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but mean, ugly dwarves. Now I have nothing against little people (hey I'm not that tall myself), but this family was nasty. Anyway, I was reading one of my Potter books and he spent the entire time staring at me and laughing to himself. Talk about needing self restraint. I sure could have used a good spell to make him vomit slugs for a while! I made it through that haircut and to top it off, I forgot my book there! What a day.

The last time this happened was a couple nights ago. I'm always on AIM and had an away message of "Reading Harry Potter." Well one of my friends started ripping on me telling me that it was "uncool" to read that. What's not cool about riding around on a broomstick and getting hit on by a hottie (Cho Chang)? He might be right, but I'll never admit it. More ramblings tomorrow...

Hola fans of my favorite Perro, Scooby-Doo! I am all about Scooby-Doo. How into Scooby-Doo am I? Well, let me just say I have a "few" things with that crazy dog and his gang hanging around my room. Stuffed Scoobies big and small, Scooby bean bags, Scooby pictures, Scooby shirts, and best of all, enough Scooby boxers to last a few weeks!

A Little Scooby History
Scooby-Doo started in 1969. It was an instant hit. The original series went for a few years and was reinvented over and over through countless other shows. For some horrible reason, someone decided to add Scrappy-Doo. Bad idea. Anyone who is a true Scooby fan knows that Scrappy is really evil (as depicted in the live-action Scooby-Doo movie). Enough said. If you have crawled out from under your rock lately, you will find that Scooby-Doo is back and is crazy as ever. The Cartoon Network has a new cartoon that isn't as great as the original, but has a catchy title song that will make you want to dance! I know I did. So check it out sometime.
